Terms of Use

1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Wellet ("Wellet", "we", "us", "the Service"). Wellet is a personal expense management app available on iOS, Android, and Web, operated by the Wellet team from Vietnam.

By creating an account or using Wellet in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Wellet helps you:

• Record and track income/expenses across accounts/wallets, in multiple currencies.
• Categorize transactions, set budgets, and receive alerts when you're near or over a budget limit.
• Share your finances transparently with family through Spaces (Personal or Family).
• Use the app offline — data is stored on your device and synced when a connection is available.

Wellet is not a banking service, not a financial or investment advisory tool, and does not automatically connect to your real bank accounts — all figures are entered by you.

3. User Accounts

• You need an account to use Wellet's full feature set, either via email/password or by signing in with Google (all platforms) or Apple (iOS and Web only — Android does not currently support Apple Sign-In due to platform-level technical constraints).
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.
• Wellet may offer a device-level PIN/biometric lock as an additional layer of protection you can set up yourself — this does not replace the need to keep your account credentials secure.

4. Shared Spaces & Member Roles

• You can create or join a Space (e.g., a Family Space) to share financial data with others.
• Each member of a Space has a role — Owner, Editor, Contributor, or Viewer — each with different permissions over the data in that Space.
• When you join or invite someone into a Space, the financial data in that Space (transactions, accounts, budgets) becomes visible to other members according to their role. Only invite people you genuinely want to share your financial information with.
• Leaving or being removed from a Space ends your access to that Space's data, but does not delete the data from the system if other members remain.

5. Wellet Premium & In-App Purchases

• Wellet offers advanced features ("Wellet Premium"), intended to be provided as a paid subscription.
• Currently, all users can use the full set of Premium features for free during Wellet's initial launch period. This may change in the future; if it does, we will notify you before any change takes effect.
• Once Wellet Premium is enabled as a paid subscription:
  • Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds will be handled through Apple App Store or Google Play, under each platform's in-app purchase policy (In-App Purchase / Google Play Billing) — Wellet does not directly collect, hold, or process your payment card information.
  • Any subscription will auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date, through your App Store/Google Play account settings — not through the Wellet app itself.
  • Refund requests must follow Apple's or Google's refund policy, not a separate Wellet policy.
  • We will clearly disclose the subscription name, duration, price, and feature scope before you confirm a purchase, in line with Apple App Store/Google Play transparency requirements.

6. Acceptable Use

When using Wellet, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems, other users' data, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service (attacks, unauthorized vulnerability scanning, spamming).
• Impersonate another person or provide false information when registering.
• Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit Wellet without our written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

All source code, design, user interface, the "Wellet" brand, and related intellectual property belong to the Wellet development team. Financial data you enter (transactions, notes, budgets, etc.) belongs to you — Wellet only stores and processes that data to provide the Service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

• Wellet is provided "as is", without warranty of absolute accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance.
• Wellet is not a financial, accounting, or tax advisory tool — any financial decisions based on data in the app are your own responsibility.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wellet is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to data loss due to sync errors, service interruptions, or financial decisions made based on data in the app.

9. Account Termination

• You may stop using Wellet at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, see the "Your Rights" section of our Privacy Policy.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect actual service functionality or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced through the app or this page before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam.
